An official delegation, led by Mayor Taron Margaryan of Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, is in Paris.
In the French capital city, the Armenian delegation participated in the 33rd General Conference of the International Association of French-speaking Mayors (AIMF).
Within the framework of the visit, Margaryan also met with Mayor of Paris Bertrand Delanoë, who is also AIMF President.
The interlocutors discussed bilateral cooperation, both with the AIMF and the French capital city.
Underscoring the collaboration between the AIMF and Yerevan, Margaryan thanked for the assistance provided to Yerevan’s schools and a library, and expressed the hope that such programs will be ongoing, informs the Yerevan Municipality Information and Public Relations Department.
The mayor of Yerevan also gave a high evaluation to the ties between the Armenian and French capital cities, and he expressed willingness to further enhance bilateral relations.
In turn Delanoë welcomed Margaryan’s participation in the AIMF conference, and he likewise underscored the need to broaden cooperation between Yerevan and Paris. He also assured that he will do his utmost to further develop relations.
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan also held talks with several other participants in the conference of the International Association of French-speaking Mayors.
