The old Yezidi cemetery in Myasnikian village of Armavir has been destroyed and a garden for the winery will be set here. In connection with this, NGO Yezidi National Union ‘Sinjar’ issued a statement, which, particularly, notes:
" The thing that can be called nothing but sacrilege has happened to the old Yezidi cemetery, because those who do not respect the memory of the other deceased cannot respect their own dead.
Businessman Sergei Grigoryan is thus offending a whole nation and playing with an international reputation in Armenia.
"We call on the state structures of Armenia to pay attention to the crime and demand that Grigoryan offset damage caused to the Yezidi people and be held accountable for barbarism. We hope that Armenia will not allow such people to tarnish the image of the country ", the statement reads.
